The Virtual programme (2007-2008) consits on the virtual learning assessment. To this effect, the assessment methodology has been adapted to the specific characteristics of this type of education. Within the framework of the Virtual programme, the assessment process of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya has started. This process has two units of analysis:

• Institutional assessment: the goals, the processes and the mechanisms centralized from the university.
  
• Degree's assessment: the concretion of goals, the operation of processes and the results in the area of the studies.

Thus, four guides have been developed:

AQU Catalunya has presented the Open University of Catalonia's assessment experiences at the European Seminar on the Quality of E-learning, organised by the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities in Madrid, on 12 and 13 June 2008.
