There are two annual periods, on April and October. Coming application calls:
Candidates applying for research accreditation must be notified of the success or denial of their applications within a maximum period of six months from the date when the call for applications commenced.
Candidates can enquire about the state of their application by e-mail to professorat@aqucatalunya.org, by telephone to 93 268 89 50, through Generalitat de Catalunya's site Services and transactions.
The presentation of an application for research accreditation is incompatible with the presentation of an application for advanced research accreditation. To present a new application for research accreditation or an application for advanced research accreditation, one year must have passed since the last application period when an application was made.
Documentation can be presented on-line, in situ or by administrative mail.
On-line
Applications can be presented on-line at Generalitat de Catalunya's site Virtual Citizen Care Office. All AQU's procedures ome on-line procedures require the applicant to be authenticated. Completing procedures on-line.
In situ
Applications, together with the documentation, may be submitted in person to the AQU Catalunya register, any register of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya), any official register or post office in Spain, or abroad in any Spanish Embassy or Consulate. They may also be submitted to any local authority that has signed a corresponding agreement with the Autonomous Government of Catalonia.
The documentation to be enclosed with the application is as follows:
Up to three reports drawn up by academics of international prestige which deal with the research activity of the candidate may be presented. The reports must be confidential and signed by the referees who should send them, within the 10 following days after the call's end, to the President of the Research Assessment Committee of AQU Catalunya (Via Laietana 28, 5a planta, 08003 Barcelona).
It is not necessary to present copies of publications listed in the CV. In cases where a work has been accepted but is still pending publication it should be presented on paper or in digital format (preferably PDF or alternatively MS-Word), together with documentary proof of acceptance for publication by the editor.
Administrative mail
A way of submitting applications to official registers, established under Law 30/1992, of 26 November, on the Legal Procedural System for Public Administration and Common Administrative Procedure (Official State Bulletin, 27 November 1992). Applications and documentation may be submitted via a post office. The post office official must give an official stamp to the two copies with the post office and date. One copy is retained by the applicant (receipt) and the other, together with the remaining documentation, is sent to AQU Catalunya by registered mail. The deadlines for submission at a post office are the same as those for the call for applications.
Applicants must make the corresponding payment within a period of ten days at any banking institution on by means of bank transfer to the following account: Caixa Catalunya 2013-0500-17-0213546947 (Swift code: CESCESBBXXX, IBAN code: ES61 2013 0500 1702 1354 6947), indicating the full name of the applicant in the subject field.
