Both the president and director of AQU Catalunya, Joaquim Prats and Josep Anton Ferré, attended a meeting in Madrid with the Minister for Education, Ángel Gabilondo, the Secretary General for Universities, Màrius Rubiralta, and the Director General for University Policy, Juan José Moreno.

In line with the commitments undertaken by AQU Catalunya, the purpose of the meeting was to explain the project and the conclusions of the Workshop on the Assessment of Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, with the aim of incorporating the results of the discussions into discussions on a national level.

The opportunity was also taken to present the Minister with the Framework for the ex ante accreditation, monitoring, modification and accreditation of recognised degrees, approved by the AQU Catalunya Board of Management.
