AQU Catalunya publishes the Guide to the formulation and ex-ante accreditation of proposals for recognised doctorate programmes

The Guide to the formulation and ex-ante accreditation of proposals for recognised doctorate programmes has been published in compliance with the stipulations of the Appendix to Royal Decree 99/2011, 28 January regarding the ex-ante accreditation of doctorate programmes. The Guide is intended for use by academic coordinators drawing up new proposals for doctorate degrees, to facilitate the internal review of a new degree proposal by the HEI itself and, at the same time, to serve as an instrument for the independent external evaluation of the proposal by AQU Catalunya.

The aims of this evaluation process are, amongst others, for the Agency to assure the quality of the design of proposals using an enhancement-based process, promote the satisfactory formulation of proposals for new programmes with regard to content and form, in terms of both evaluation and the public information that is produced on recognised programmes, and establish evaluation procedures for Bachelor, Master's and PhD degrees that are equivalent and linked.
