The educational association Itscool, which promotes Information and Communications Technologies as a vocation in primary and secondary education, is organising a workshop "Forward-looking generations for ICT" to be held on 28 June at the Palau Macaya, to discuss the promising benefits of courses in Information Technologies and favourable professional prospects in this field in the future.

The director of AQU Catalunya, Martí Casadesús, is to participate in the round table on the subject of the "State of the ICT labour market: present and future", chaired by Carles Martín, president of the Itscool Association, and will also be joined by Josep Pallarès, Director General for Universities; Susanna Canet, from the Parents of Pupils Federation of Catalonia (FaPaC), and Javier Martí Pintanel, computer engineer and the promoter of Itscool. This debate will be followed by a series of round tables under the heading "Vying for ICT graduates?", the purpose of which is to highlight the good job prospects for courses specialising in ICT, and "Why aren’t ICT courses attractive?", in which students and graduates will explain their experience with the aim of highlighting the causes that lead to degree courses in ICT being unattractive to young people.
