The REACU approves the Recommendations regarding the monitoring of recognised degrees

The Spanish Universities Quality Assurance Network (REACU), which AQU Catalunya is the founding member of, approved the Recommendations regarding the monitoring of recognised degrees, a series of criteria that are of common application between the QA agencies in Spain and which may be subject to more specific procedures defined by each corresponding QA agency.

One of the criteria followed in the drawing up of the recommendations is flexibility in submitting information. Clear indicators were identified to allow for monitoring to take place using the university’s electronic means and the reduction to a minimum of requests for documents.

The report, which stems from Royal Decree 1393/2007, dated 29 October, regulating recognised university degree programmes in line with the European standards and guidelines (ESG), is intended to be a useful working tool for both QA agencies and universities in decision-making to ensure compliance with the regulations with regard to the monitoring of degree programmes.
