The procedure for the assessment of individual merits in teaching and administration of both tenured and contracted teaching and research staff at public universities in Catalonia, which are valid until 31 December 2009, for the purposes of salary bonuses, has been announced in Resolution IUE/3550/2009 [ca], dated 9 December.
Salary bonuses for merits in teaching and administration, which are specified as an annual amount that is individual and can be consolidated, are allocated by the social council of each university, at the proposal of the governing body following favourable certification by AQU Catalunya. Universities must submit the corresponding assessment reports to AQU for certification before 2 July 2010.
