  • Results of the feedback survey on the University Education and Employment workshop29.04.2010
    An overall average rating of 4.1 out of 5 was given for the AQU Catalunya workshop on University Education and Employment, which was held at the UAB on March 23 and where the results of the latest studies on the labour market outcomes of graduates from Catalan universities were presented.
  • AQU Catalunya participates in the conference Joint Programmes: Too many cooks in the kitchen?22.04.2010
    Organised by the Consortium for Accreditation (ECA), the subject of the Joint Programmes: Too many cooks in the kitchen? conference is solutions for the accreditation, recognition and transparency of joint programmes. The conference is being held in Graz (Austria) on 10 and 11 June 2010 and is aimed at agencies, higher education institutions, students, recognition authorities and governments.
  • AQU Catalunya sets up the Student Commission15.04.2010
    In line with the principles of the European Higher Education Area, whereby students are recognised as full members of the university community and their participation in the organisation and educational content of universities and the activities of other higher education institutions is provided for, AQU Catalunya has set up the Student Committee.
  • Results of the second call for applications in 2009 for the accreditation of research and advanced research12.04.2010
    The processing of applications for the issuance of accreditations for research and advanced research submitted to the call made between 15 and 30 October 2009 has been completed.
  • The AQU Board of Management approves the modifications to the Agency's Activities Plan for 201008.04.2010
    At its meeting on 23 March, the governing body of AQU Catalunya endorsed the modifications to the Agency's Activities Plan for 2010. The Plan is divided up into six main strategic areas.
  • Renewal of the CLiC (Tenure-track and Collaborating Teaching Staff) Committee01.04.2010
    At its meeting dated March 23, the AQU Board of Management ratified the new composition of the CLiC Committee (which deals with tenure-track and non-civil servant, non-PhD teaching staff) proposed by the chairwoman, Dr. Maria Lluïsa Hernanz.
  • Research assessment in the Humanities and Social Sciences30.03.2010
    The central theme of the Eleventh AQU Catalunya Workshop, organised in collaboration with the Catalan universities, was "Research assessment in the Humanities and Social Sciences". The objective of the Workshop was to create a context for general reflexion and discussion on research to provide for the identification of proposals to enhance assessment and evaluation, with the intention of creating greater consensus within the scientific and academic community in Catalonia.

    AQU Catalunya, with the support of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, organised a one-day workshop on University Education and Graduate Employment, where the results of the studies on graduate labour market outcomes in Catalonia based on the surveys run every three years by the Agency were presented.

    The study on The Catalan universities as a factor of equity and professional mobility, by Dr. Jordi Planas and Dr. Sandra Fachelli from the Education and Employment Research Group at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on March 23rd, was presented within the context of the University Education and Graduate Employment workshop held at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Promoted and funded by AQU Catalunya, the study is based on the results of the survey on the labour market outcomes of graduates in Catalonia in 2008.
  • Degree-job match and the influence of family status, academic background and gender: key issues in the latest studies on the labour market outcomes of Catalan graduates04.03.2010
    The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency, with the collaboration of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), is organising a workshop, University education and employment, to be held on 23 March, in which the results will be presented of three studies on the labour market/employment outcomes of graduates from universities in Catalonia, based on the surveys carried out periodically by the Agency.
