Elena Tejedor, Director of the quality assurance Agency for Castilla y Leon (ACSUCYL), and currently head of the Spanish network of university QA agencies (REACU), recently visited AQU Catalunya, where she met with the Agency's president, Joaquim Prats, and the director, Josep Anton Ferré.
Among the matters they discussed were the experimental monitoring programme for recognised degrees, which AQU Catalunya and the Catalan universities are currently carrying out with the aim of establishing a specific frame of reference for monitoring the quality of recognised degree programmes, and the workshop on research assessment in the Humanities and Social Sciences that AQU organised earlier in the year, the aim being to extend this approach to the other QA agencies in Spain that review research being carried out in these disciplines.
