AQU Catalunya participates in the training of reviewers from Bosnia and Herzegovina30.03.2011
The Catalan agency, as a member of the TEMPUS: ESABIH consortium (European Standards for Accreditation of Study Programmes in Bosnia and Herzegovina Universities), recently collaborated in the process of training fifty teachers from Bosnia and Herzegovina who will be involved in evaluating approximately thirty degree programmes for accreditation at the national level.
AQU Catalunya to review the modifications to all recognised degree programmes in Catalonia14.03.2011
The broadening of the framework agreement for collaboration signed by ANECA and AQU Catalunya enables the Catalan Agency to review all modifications to recognised degrees as proposed by Catalan universities. AQU Catalunya will accordingly carry out all of the processes – ex-ante assessment, monitoring, modification and accreditation – involved in the review of degree programmes taught at Catalan universities.
Deadline for the submission of monitoring reports on Bachelor and Master's degrees: 1 to 20 April11.03.2011
The period for submitting monitoring reports on recognised degree programmes for the 2009-2010 academic year has been set for 1st-20th April. Universities must inform AQU Catalunya of the Bachelor and Master's programmes that will participate in the monitoring prior to 15 March, bearing in mind that the objective is for 50% of all newly-introduced degrees to take part.
A delegation of the Romanian QA agency visits AQU Catalunya09.03.2011
A group of 15 people, including the president and general secretary, of the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS) visited AQU Catalunya on 24 February. Amongst other issues, the Romanian delegation showed interest in the quality assurance processes used with national and transnational degree programmes, the ways that autonomy for Catalan universities works, and the relationship between the universities and the work of the Agency, management review and the development of governance.
