Organised by AQU Catalunya, the 14th ECA Workshop took place during 20 and 21 June at Roger de Llúria building, Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

In plenary session, the members of the European Consortium for Accreditation dealt with business issues such as finances and the annual report, and Working groups presented the results achieved of their activity.

There also was the signing of bilateral mutual recognition agreement between OAQ (Organ für Akkreditierung und Qualitätssicherung der Schweizerischen Hochschulen, Switzerland) and l'ÖAR (Austrian Accreditation Council, Austria), and OAQ and NVAO (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie the Netherlands and Flanders (Belgium).

Two papers were presented during the Workshop:

• U-Multirank project, Gero Federkeil, Centre for Higher Education (Germany)
• Elements of impact of quality assurance on cross-border higher education, Don Westerheijden, Center for Higher Education Policy Studies, (The Netherlands)
