AQU Catalunya has started the monitoring of recognised Bachelor and Master's programmes (monitoring of the 2010-2011 academic year). According to the timetable for implementation of the VSMA Framework, programme monitoring by 2012 is to include all recognised Bachelor and Master's programmes in the higher education system in Catalonia.

Universities must send their list of degree programmes that will be included in the process to the Agency prior to April 20. Monitoring reports for these programmes must be submitted between 16 May - 6 June. Full university monitoring reports must also be submitted between these same dates.

The Agency's Guide to the monitoring of recognised Bachelor and Master's degree programmes, which is available to the universities for this process, is designed as a guide to drawing up programme monitoring reports and is, at the same time, the instrument used for the independent external review of these reports by AQU Catalunya.

An important aid in producing the reports is the teaching indicators available on the WINDDAT webpage for degree course development and analysis.
