Josep Grifoll, Technical Director for Quality Assurance at AQU Catalunya, was appointed Vice-President of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) at the organisation's General Assembly held on 29 and 30 October in Vilnius, Lithuania. Josep Grifoll has been a member of the ENQA Board since 2008.

Padrig Walsh, Chief Executive of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), was elected the new President of ENQA. Two new members, the Executive Directors of QAA (UK) and FIBAA (Germany), also joined the Board.
