  • Meeting of the Quality Assurance Commission30.12.2013
    In its meeting on 15 November, the Quality Assurance Commission endorsed the new composition of the special review panels and some documents.
  • Results of the june-july 2013 call for the assessment of research work by teaching staff27.12.2013
    All applications for the evaluation of the research work by public service teaching and research staff at public universities in Catalonia within the framework of salary increments for merits in research have now been processed by AQU Catalunya. Evaluation covered periods of research completed prior to 31 December 2012.
  • 2014 deadlines for the assessment of tenure-track lecturers27.12.2013
    AQU Catalunya's Tenure-track Lecturer and Collaborating Lecturer Commission has established the 2014 deadlines for submitting applications for tenure-track lecturer reports.
  • Training for experts in programme review20.12.2013
    The training session covered the key concepts contained in, and updates to, the Framework for the validation, monitoring, modification and accreditation of recognised degree programmes, the software used during the various quality assurance processes, and various examples of programme specifications for validation were analysed by way of practical case studies.
  • Launching of IMPALA project02.12.2013
    The four groups of partners introduced themselves at the meeting and there were discussions on the approach to the project, the work plan, as well as the different documents, questionnaires and reports that will need to be produced. For each university, one academic coordinator, the head of the university's quality unit and one student took part. Representation in the project from the three key stakeholders in external quality assurance, namely, QA agencies, academics and students, has thus been ensured right from the very beginning.
  • AQU Catalunya at the 8th European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF)28.11.2013
    AQU Catalunya took part in the eighth European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF), entitled Working together to take quality forward, which was held at the University of Goteborg, Sweden, on 21-23 November.
  • Meeting of the ISLAH project in Barcelona19.11.2013
    The aim of the ISLAH project is to set up two national observatories, one in Morocco and one in Tunisia, with information on graduate destinations and to match this information between higher education and the requirements of the labour market.
  • Revised assessment criteria for tenure-track lecturers in Life Sciences12.11.2013
    The changes consist of improvements to the wording of the section on scientific publications, projects, research leave and congresses. A series of guidelines with advice for obtaining a favourable assessment report were also included.
  • Head of AQU Catalunya's Quality Assessment department intervewed by UOC11.11.2013
  • Josep Grifoll, new Vice-President of ENQA04.11.2013
    Josep Grifoll, Technical Director for Quality Assurance at AQU Catalunya, was appointed Vice-President of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) at the organisation's General Assembly held on 29 and 30 October in Vilnius, Lithuania. Josep Grifoll has been a member of the ENQA Board since 2008.
