  • Report on the state of external quality assurance in Spanish universities, 201330.12.2014
    Produced jointly by the university quality assurance agencies in Spain, the report complies with the principle of transparency whereby agencies are accountable for their review programmes, as laid down by the European standards and guidelines.
  • Revised versions of the VSMA Framework guidebooks04.12.2014
    The new updated versions of the Guide to the monitoring of recognised First and Second cycle degree programmes [cat] and the Guide to the accreditation of recognised First and Second cycle degree programmes [cat] are now available and can be consulted on the AQU Catalunya website.
  • AQU Catalunya participates in the 16th Almagro Forum02.12.2014
    AQU Catalunya participated in the 16th Almagro Forum held on 20-21 November 2014. AQU Catalunya presented the paper LA ACREDITACIÓN DE TITULACIONES OFICIALES DE GRADO Y MÁSTER EN EL SISTEMA UNIVERSITARIO CATALÁN.
  • AQU Catalunya cooperates in the ASEAN QA project26.11.2014
    AQU Catalunya cooperates in the ASEAN QA project through ENQA. 35 universities from nine different countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Phillippines, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, East Timor) have been selected via a competitive process to develop QA projects with external advice and guidance. The projects range from setting up an internal QA system to designing internal QA mechanisms for programme curricula.
  • Accreditation renewal for the teaching assessment handbooks used in the public universities in Catalonia (2013-2014)25.11.2014
    In 2014 AQU Catalunya renewed the accreditation of the teaching assessment procedure given in the teaching assessment handbooks used in all public universities in Catalonia. All renewed accreditation is now valid until 31 December 2019.
  • Quality assurance training courses for university students (22 and 29 November) 20.11.2014
    The Catalan Universities' Student Council (CEUCAT), together with AQU Catalunya and the University of Barcelona (UB), has organised a course on quality assurance for university students in Catalonia.
  • Access to the databases on studies of the transition of graduates to the labour market 17.11.2014
    AQU Catalunya has now made the databases on studies of the transition of graduates to the labour market (graduate labour market outcomes) carried out so far (2001, 2005, 2008, 2011 and 2014) available to the academic and research community in Catalan universities to encourage more extensive use of the information available on the labour market outcomes and destinations of people with a higher education.
  • Workshop: What needs to be improved in doctoral training?17.11.2014
    A workshop is to be held on 17 December 2014 on the topic "What needs to be improved in doctoral training?" to analyse the transition to the labour market of doctoral graduates from Catalan universities according to the findings of the survey carried out this year. Building on this data, it is now appropriate to bring together the people with primary responsibility for doctoral and research training to look at possible lines of action to improve doctoral programmes. Some of the issues dealt with in the workshop will be aimed at improving and enhancing the quality and user satisfaction of doctoral training, such as the internationalisation of doctoral programmes and ways of improving the employability of doctorate holders.
  • Signing of the collaboration agreement between AQU and ACAUP06.11.2014
    On 4 November a framework partnership agreement between AQU Catalunya and the Catalan Association of Institutions Affiliated with the Public Universities (Associació de Centres Adscrits a les Universitats Públiques de Catalunya, ACAUP) was signed by the president of AQU Catalunya, Josep Joan Moreso, and the ACAUP president, Sara Magallón.
  • Quality indicators for the teaching of programmes leading to higher awards in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts06.11.2014
    AQU Catalunya has drawn up the document,"Teaching indicators for developing and analysing programmes leading to higher awards in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts", as a support tool for calculating teaching indicators used in the monitoring of degree courses leading to higher awards in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
  • Launch of the Employers survey (Ocupadors)04.11.2014
    During the entire month of November, AQU Catalunya will be carrying out the survey for the Employers study (Ocupadors), which is being funded by the Obra Social "la Caixa".
