AQU's Research Assessment Commission, in its meeting on 13 April 2015, agreed to further extend the deadline for applications for the accreditation of research and advanced research for the first call made in 2015. Applications will now be accepted from 7 April until 29 May.

This first call for applications in 2015 coincides with the call for applications made by the Serra Húnter programme, according to which more than five hundred new faculty staff members are to be recruited for posts at Catalan universities during the period 2013-2020 on the basis of international criteria for excellence. Due to the fact that the requirements for candidates to the Serra Húnter programme is either the accreditation of research or advanced research, according to the category of teaching and research staff (senior lecturer or professor, respectively), and because the programme’s 2015 call for applications has been extended, the Research Assessment Commission agreed to align the first call for applications in 2015 for the accreditation of research and advanced research with the 2015 call for applications made by the Serra Húnter programme. The period for applications has thus been re-extended to 29 May 2015.
