AQU Catalunya participated in the Biennial Conference of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) held in Chicago, Ill, USA, on 30 March-3 April. Under the title of CHANGING LANDSCAPE OF HIGHER EDUCATION: NEW DEMANDS ON QUALITY ASSURANCE the following matters were dealt with:

• Diversity and its components: new demands, new responses from higher education institutions. Is diversity always a good thing?
• Quality assurance and the issues arising from the increased diversity of higher education institutions. How was QA make sense of diversity?
• The many faces of internationalization and their impact on quality and quality assurance.
• Quality assurance agencies: internal quality assurance of external quality assurance and its impact on the HEI systems.

AQU Catalunya, as the INQAAHE Secretariat, was actively involved in organising the event. The Agency's director, Martí Casadesús, attended the Board meetings and the organisation's General Assembly held within the setting of the Conference as INQAAHE Secretary.
