The first meeting of the Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) since its inception was held at the headquarters of AQU Catalunya on 18 March. Taking over from the former Quality Assurance Commission, the main role of the CAIP is the quality assurance of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and management in the university system.

At this first meeting, in addition to endorsing the internal rule of procedure, the following documents were also endorsed:

• Recommended evidence and indicators for the accreditation of Bachelor and Master's degrees
• Criteria for accreditation "on track to excellence" and accreditation "with prescriptions"
• Revision of the Guide To The Accreditation Of Recognised Bachelor And Master's Degree Programmes
• Procedures for the communication and/or review of modifications made to doctoral/PhD programmes
