Awarding of AUDIT certificates to programmes in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts

The Government of Catalonia's Minister for Education, Meritxell Ruiz, and the President of the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency/AQU Catalunya, Josep Joan Moreso, are to present the AUDIT certificates to faculties and schools running degrees in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts at a ceremony to be held in the Sala d'Actes de Cotxeres, Palau Robert, next Wednesday 30 March, at midday (12 o'clock).

Over the last three years, the faculties and schools of Performing Arts and Visual Arts have designed internal QA systems for the study programmes that they deliver, within the framework of the AUDIT-EAS programme being promoted by AQU Catalunya, with cooperation from the Ministry of Education. All the faculties and schools – a total of eleven – were given a favourable assessment of their programmes in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts in the external QA review carried out by AQU Catalunya. The ceremony is to recognise the work of these faculties and schools through the presentation of certificates accrediting a favourable assessment in the external QA review.

A total number of twenty-two degrees and Masters are run by faculties and schools of Performing Arts and Visual Arts in Catalonia, specialising in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, Design, Drama, Dance and Music. All of these degrees and awards are equivalent to all other recognised Bachelor and Master's degrees and awards in the university system in Catalonia.
