The first meeting in 2016 of AQU Catalunya's Governing Board was held on 31 March. During the session, the Agency's Annual Report (to be published shortly), together with the Financial Statement and Inventory for 2015, were all endorsed.

In addition, approval was also given to the appointment of Dr. Jordi Cortadella, professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia/Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and Dr. Jacint Jordana, professor at the Pompeu Fabra University, as new members on the Research Assessment Commission, in place of Dr. Josep Domingo and Dr. Miquel Martínez, respectively. The internal rules of procedure of AQU Catalunya's Research Assessment Commission (CAR), the Institutional and Programme Review Commission (CAIP) and the Appeals Committee were all also ratified.
