AQU Catalunya and the Consorci de Serveis Universitaris de Catalunya (CSUC) first began to cooperate in 2016 to facilitate the automatic uploading of academic data available on the PRC web portal (Portal de la Recerca de Catalunya) to AQU's assessment feedback templates, using theORCID codeof teaching staff.

The purpose of this is to streamline and simplify the applications procedure for teaching staff assessment.

Since then, over 1,000 academics in higher education, mainly at public universities, in Catalonia have used the PRC research portal.

This process of cooperation with the CSUC is seen as an important step at the Agency, as it is an instrument that enables teaching staff applying for assessment to retrieve data from the PRC and it significantly reduces the time needed to make an application. This application is planned to be used for the processing of all other accreditation procedures of individual applicants carried out by AQU Catalunya.

It is for this reason that information and awareness measures regarding the PRC research portal need to be maintained in both institutions and for teaching staff.
