The code sets out the values, principles and rules governing the conduct of AQU Catalunya's members, relations between the organisation and its milieu. So that it presents the system of values, principles and commitments for action enabling AQU Catalunya to reach its goals. Indeed, these goals are acknowledged and shared by all of the agents involved, underlining the inner identity of AQU Catalunya and making it known to others.

AQU Catalunya's focus on Europe is also patent in the drafting of this new code since it employs as a point of reference the values, principles and standards applied in the main international higher education agencies and institutions, though always taking into consideration the experience and specific nature of the Agency's own activities.
