Today in Zaragoza, AQU Catalunya director Martí Casadesús is presenting the Agency’s experience in the accreditation of additional dimensions that are supplementary to the procedure for mandatory assessment of recognised degree programmes. The presentation is being given as part of a seminar on The assessment of internationalisation and other outstanding dimensions in degree programmes organised by the Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ACPUA).

The accreditation of additional dimensions by AQU Catalunya is a voluntary step and seeks to lend acknowledgment to the distinguishing element of those degree programmes that attain them. To be precise, Catalan universities may apply for assessment of the following additional dimensions: employment outcomes and development; interaction between teaching and research; and, internationalisation.
During the seminar Jordi Riera, vice-rector for Academic Policy and deputy rector of Ramon Llull University (URL), will also intervene with a presentation on additional dimensions at URL in which he will offer an account of his university’s experience.
