At its meeting on 3 February 2017, the Research Assessment Commission's Special Committee dealing with tenure-track teaching staff in Life Sciences approved the modification of the evaluation criteria for scientific journals. The publication of ten articles in indexed journals in Journal Citation Reports are now required, five of which must be in the first quartile of the corresponding subject area and with the author being the corresponding author or first signatory in three of the articles in the first quartile.
