AQU Catalunya attends the 12th European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) and the consortium meeting of the TeSLA project

AQU Catalunya participated in the 12th European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF), titled "Responsible QA: committing to impact", which was held at the University of Latvia in Riga on 23-25 November 2017.

AQU Catalunya presented the paper, “External evaluation of e-assessment – a conceptual design of elements to be considered”, elaborated jointly with ENQA and EQANIE under the framework of the TeSLA project. The paper presents the overall structure and aims of TeSLA project, discusses in more detail the QA methodology and identifies the essential elements for a proper evaluation of of an e-assessment system.

The European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) is an annual event co-organised by the E4-Group (ENQA, ESU, EUA and EURASHE). It is the main European conference on quality assurance (QA) in higher education, which brings together all key stakeholders in this field, including higher education institutions, QA agencies and students. It provides a unique platform for the higher education and QA communities to monitor, shape and anticipate developments in the field of QA in higher education.

After the EQAF, on 27 and 28 November 2017, AQU Catalunya as the leader of WP4 (Quality assurance in online higher education) attended the consortium meeting of the TeSLA project, which is regularly planned by the management team. On this occasion, the meeting was held in the Open Universiteit in Heerlen (Netherlands) with the main aim to make progress in different aspects related to the execution of the first phase of the third pilot, which is currently being conducted in the 7 pilot universities.
