AQU Catalunya has received the final report on the audit of its quality management and information security systems according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2014, after having successfully undergone external audit by AENOR from 16 to 18 April 2018.

Both the president and the director of AQU Catalunya consider the outcome of the audit to be highly positive as no major or minor non-conformities were identified, together with the fact that the report highlights a series of strengths in the Agency's management system.

• In relation to quality management, risk assessment is highly detailed for all processes undertaken and a new approach to project management has simplified management of the Agency's activities.
• With regard to the management of information security, particular mention was made of the detail with which the planning of tasks and follow-up are undertaken. Overall, both the follow-up of activities and the comprehensiveness of internal audits were assessed positively.
• A series of enhancement opportunities were also identified that the Agency intends to continue working on to underpin the quality management and information security system.

Staff at AQU Catalunya welcomed the findings, as they represent an improvement compared to the previous year and are the result of continuous efforts to improve and upgrade the quality management and information security system developed by AQU Catalunya..

The outcome of the audit resulted in the annual renewal of the certificates for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2014, which were obtained by the Agency in 2015.
