In this document the Agency describes the activities that has carried out in 2008 and gives response to transparency and accountability. This Report deals, amongst others, with the accession of AQU Catalunya to the  European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) after an international external assessment which acknowledged its compliance with the European standards, and the preparation of the AQU Catalunya Strategic Plan 2009-2012. The Plan defines eight strategic lines (management and organisation; assessment of teaching staff; assessment of institutions and degree standards; analysis of the university system; communication; persons; external relations and students), the mission of each of these lines, the strategic objectives and the operative objectives.
