Josep Joan Moreso, the president of AQU Catalunya, gave a talk on Wednesday 18 May on "New challenges facing research in the Humanities and Social Sciences" as part of the programme for the Research Week organised by the Autonomous University of Barcelona's Faculty of Humanities.

Mr. Moreso's presentation highlighted the current challenges facing research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, together with the degree to which research in these areas contributes to society as a whole at the present time. The issue of the development of a vision for the future in this regard was also raised, with a particular focus on the student body.
