Martí Casadesús, Director of AQU Catalunya, was interviewed on the Radio 4 programme Llibres, píxels i valors (Books, pixels and values) to talk about the current situation regarding quality in the university system in Catalonia, how quality is measured and the items that are used to calibrate it.

Casadesús gave a clear and precise description of the Agency's different activities, which range from teaching staff accreditation and institutional review to knowledge generation. Referring to it as a strength of higher education and the university system in Catalonia, he underlined the fact that a university education improves a graduate's transition into employment, it reduces the time for graduates take to find a job and it guarantees them a higher salary compared to non-graduates.

He also presented the EUC web portal, which is aimed mainly at pre-university students, the purpose of which is to help them decide the course of studies they will take. The EUC provides a search engine for obtaining information on the quality of any recognised Bachelor or Master's recognised degree course offered at universities in Catalonia, together with the most recent quality assurance reports that have been published and other indicators, including admissions, enrolment and graduate employment outcomes.
