Esta encuesta, que se llevó a cabo en 2018, se adaptó a las particularidades de quince sectores distintos que, además, tenían asociadas titulaciones universitarias concretas. La finalidad del proyecto es contribuir a la mejora de las titulaciones universitarias, proporcionando más evidencias sobre su funcionamiento y permitiendo, así, realizar un mejor diagnóstico y un plan de mejora de las titulaciones.
Uno de los sectores clave del proyecto es el de la educación. Se envió la encuesta a 2.960 centros educativos de Cataluña que imparten educación infantil, primaria y/o secundaria, para que valoraran la formación y las competencias de los maestros y profesores de secundaria recientemente titulados que habían contratado. Se obtuvo una muestra de 246, que corresponde a una tasa de respuesta del 8 %.
Los resultados más significativos de la encuesta son los siguientes:
- Competencias transversales de maestros y profesorado (tabla 1): cerca de la mitad de los centros identifican un déficit en la competencia de resolución de problemas y toma de decisiones y en la de formación práctica (común con otros sectores analizados). También señalan carencias en la creatividad, el trabajo en equipo y la responsabilidad en el trabajo.

- Competencias específicas de maestros (tabla 2): casi 7 de cada 10 centros consideran que hay un déficit en la capacidad para gestionar el aula. También identifican carencias en otras competencias, como la detección y actuación en situaciones de dificultades (47 %), el diseño y evaluación de procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje (43 %), la innovación pedagógica e investigación educativa (43 %), la conducción de entrevistas con familias (39 %) y el equilibrio personal (34 %).

- Competencias específicas del profesorado de secundaria (tabla 3): casi 9 de cada 10 centros coinciden en la necesidad de mejorar la capacidad para gestionar el aula. También identifican un déficit en conocimientos psicopedagógicos básicos (68 %), equilibrio personal (55 %), detección y actuación en situaciones de dificultades (41 %) y compromiso de promover valores y respeto entre el alumnado (37 %).

- Competencias y especialidades que adquirirán más importancia en el futuro (figura 1): los centros de educación infantil y primaria destacan las competencias relacionadas con las nuevas tecnologías y los idiomas, mientras que según los centros de secundaria tomarán importancia las habilidades emocionales y el trabajo en equipo. En cuanto a las especialidades del futuro, hay un consenso con los idiomas y las áreas STEM, aunque para los maestros también destacan las nuevas tecnologías y la atención a la diversidad y para el profesorado de secundaria, la orientación educativa.

- Satisfacción de los centros educativos: la satisfacción de los centros con las competencias de maestros y profesorado de secundaria es de 6,6 y 6,5, respectivamente, valoraciones más bajas que las de otros sectores.
