The European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) focuses, among other issues, on learning outcomes and its inclusion in quality assurance procedures and is working on a compendium of good practices regarding learning outcomes in accreditation procedures, in general and in specific contexts.
AQU has presented to the consortium the guidelines for the assessment of student learning, as an example of good practices. These books, published by the Catalan Agency, are among the first documents within the European context that provide a frame of reference which permits the selection and design of assessment tests that are consistent with intended learning outcomes, together with greater transparency concerning the assessment methods and criteria.
