A meeting of ECA Working Group 1 on mutual recognition between agencies and the quality assurance of joint programmes was held in Barcelona on 14 March, the purpose being to make progress with the implementation of the European framework for the quality assurance of joint programmes.

Under the Framework, consortia managing joint programmes can request external review services from QA agencies listed with the European Register (EQAR), with reviews receiving recognition from the corresponding national bodies.
