The inaugural meeting of the TeSLA project, An Adaptive Trust-based e-assessment System for Learning (an EU-funded Horizon 2020 project) was held in Barcelona on 27, 28 and 29 January.

The main aim of the TeSLA project is to develop an online system with new technologies in the field of authentication and protocols to enhance security and privacy issues in student assessment procedures undertaken online.

The use of new technologies in the field of authentication and authorship (such as facial recognition) has to be aligned with current quality criteria applicable in the field of higher education. In this respect, and given its capacity to couple these technological approaches together with the currently accepted European standards and guidelines for quality assurance in higher education, AQU Catalunya stands out as a strategic partner in the project.
