AQU Catalunya is organising a workshop event "Ways to improve the training and skills of Engineering students in industrial sectors and logistics" [ca] at Barcelona Tech/UPC's Diagonal-Besòs Campus Auditorium on 12 December.

The workshop will afford opportunities for dialogue and discussion between the different actors responsible for engineering education and will serve as a point of departure for discussing challenges facing programmes in Engineering as well as proposals for improving and enhancing the training and skills of Engineering students.

As a way of encouraging discussion and analysis among those attending, Antoni M. Grau, head of the Engineering Observatory (Observatori de l'Enginyeria), will present the results and findings of the survey of the situation of engineers in Catalonia [ca] and Elena Valderrama, chair of AQU's Specific Committee for Engineering and Architecture (Institutional and Programme Review Commission), will talk about the findings of the graduate employment outcomes surveys from the point of view of graduates and employers and the satisfaction survey of recent graduates.

The purpose of the round table is to establish a forum for dialogue on what industry and enterprise should expect of engineers in the future.
