View the new criteria for the issuance of preliminary reports for tenure-eligible lecturers

On 19 June 2018 AQU's Research Assessment Committee (CAR) agreed to amend the criteria for the issuance of preliminary reports for tenure-eligible lecturers.

The new version of the criteria will enter in effect with the second call for applications in 2018 for tenure-eligible lecturers, which will be launched on 1 October 2018.

The changes are essentially as follows:

  • Social Sciences
  • New classification for contributions in the form of articles:

Type Description

Level A

For all fields of knowledge in the Social Sciences: JCR Q1, JCR Q2; Scopus Q1 (SJR)
For Law: CARHUS A
Level B For all fields of knowledge in the Social Sciences: JCR Q3; Scopus Q2 (SJR)
For Law: CARHUS B
Level C For all fields of knowledge in the Social Sciences: JCR Q4; Scopus Q3 (SJR)
For Law: CARHUS C

  • New weightage of the scores for the different sections. In this regard:
  • the sub-dimension of "Congresses" has been moved to "Other merits" under research,
  • the dimension of "Training" has been increased from 15% to 20% of the overall weighting in order to underline the importance of post-doctoral research stays,
  • the dimension of "Teaching experience", has been changed from 25% to 20% of the overall weighting.
     
  • In addition, a twofold condition has now been set in order to pass the evaluation::
  • A minimum of 50 points must be obtained.
  • A minimum score of 30 points must be obtained in the "Publications" sub-section.

     
  • Engineering and Architecture
  • The inclusion of GGS (GII-GRIN-SCIE) conference rating as assessable contributions.  

     
  • Experimental Sciences
  • • Merits in training are rated separately, according to doctoral, pre-doctoral and post-doctoral level.
