AQU Catalunya presents the Open University of Catalonia's assessment experiences at the European Seminar on the Quality of E-learning
On 12 and 13 June, the European Seminar on QA in E-learning was held in Madrid. Organised by the European Association of Distance Teaching Universities (Associació Europea d'Ensenyament Universitari a Distàcia, EADTU), some 16 institutions linked to the E-xcellence project took part in the event that aimed to further develop and improve the quality of e-learning in higher education.
Along these lines, AQU Catalunya presented the assessment experience gained by the Open University of Catalonia in the context of the Virtual Programme, where, for the first time, two areas for analysis are considered:
- Institutions: the area of assessment was comprised by the university’s goals, processes and centralised mechanisms.
- Degrees: the area of assessment was comprised by the definition of goals, the operation of processes and results with respect to studies.
