Within the framework of its cooperation and exchange activities, AQU Catalunya carried out the evaluation of six degree programmes in the fields of Social Sciences and Technology offered by this state-run university, the second largest in Mexico in terms of student numbers.

The project, which is now completed with the publication of the results, involved the application of an evaluation methodology from a university system in Europe, namely, the Catalan system, being applied in an external context, and this constitutes one of the first steps in the implementation of review process activities in Latin America. The results of the evaluation of the Universidad de Guadalajara, one of the first transnational evaluation experiences in which the European standards and guidelines have been used, have been submitted to ENQA for use by other European agencies.
