AQU Catalunya reviews the UAB's International Relations Service 29.12.2009
AQU Catalunya has accepted the request by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) to collaborate in the design and implementation of an external review process of the university’s International Relations. This will involve following the objectives that were established in the Communiqué of the Conference of European Ministers Responsible for Higher Education (Leuven-Louvain, 28-29 April 2009), namely, for European higher education institutions to internationalise their activities and promote academic mobility (students, trainee researchers, teachers, etc.).

Official notification was given to applicants of the rulings regarding the tenure track lecturers by the research assessment panels. Notification in this manner was also given to individuals to whom individual notification had proved to be impossible. For more information on the content of the panels' rulings, those concerned should contact the Agency in person (AQU Catalunya/Agència per a la Qualitat del Sistema Universitari de Catalunya, Via Laietana, 28, 5a planta, 08003 Barcelona).

Good reception at the international level for the AQU Quality Assurance Training Programme for Students24.11.2009
The AQU Quality Assurance Training Programme for University Students is an activity that AQU Catalunya has been organising since 2005. Based on the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the intention of this programme is to increase the culture of student participation in internal QA systems and external QA review processes.
AQU Catalunya participates in the Fourth European Quality Assurance Forum 23.11.2009
The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency participated in the Fourth European Quality Assurance Forum, held at the Copenhagen School of Business on 19-21 November. At the congress, which was organised by the E4 (ENQA, ESU, EUA and EURASHE), the representatives of AQU presented two contributions resulting from the Agency's work and its collaboration with other regional QA agencies.

The new AQU Catalunya Director has been appointed by the Minister for Innovation, Universities and Enterprise, Josep Huguet, at the proposal of the Agency's President, Joaquim Prats, and on the advice of the AQU Board of Management.
