The Secretariat General for Universities has extended the deadline for the processing and resolution by the National Research Review Commission (CNEAI) of applications for research evaluation from teaching and research staff at public universities until 31 December 2010.

The assessment by the CNEAI of research work by university academic staff who apply for evaluation of their research has been recognised by AQU Catalunya since 2006 within the framework of review procedures laid down by the Agency, provided that they comply with the requirements and characteristics of these procedures.

In order for the call for applications made by AQU to conform to the CNEAI's new calendar, the Research Assessment Committee has agreed to modify the period for the submission of applications for the assessment of merits in research from public service teaching and research staff from between 28 June and 23 July to the months of December 2010 and January 2011.

A resolution with this modification will be published in the near future in the Official Gazette of the Catalan Government (DOGC).
