AQU Catalunya has completed the initial stage of reviewing the design of internal quality assurance systems (IQAS) in faculties and institutes offering degree-level courses in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts, within the framework of the AUDIT-EAS programme.

At a ceremony held at the Government of Catalonia's Ministry of Education on 15 July, the following centres received the ex-ante reports:

• Conservatori del Liceu 
• Escola Superior d'Art Dramàtic Eòlia 
• Escola Superior de Conservació i Restauració de Béns Culturals de Catalunya
• Escola Superior de Disseny Felicidad Duce 
• Escola Superior de Disseny i d'Arts Plàstiques de Catalunya 
• Escola Superior de Disseny IED 
• Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya 
• Institut del Teatre - Escola Superior d'Art Dramàtic
• Institut del Teatre - Conservatori Superior de Dansa
• Jam Session Escola Superior de Música
• Taller de Músics - Escola Superior d'Estudis Musicals

It is anticipated that the entire process involving the review of IQAS design in faculties and institutes offering degree-level courses in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts will be completed in early 2015.

The AUDIT-EAS programme, the purpose of which is to provide guidance and assessment in the design of internal quality assurance systems in faculties and institutes offering degree-level courses in the Performing Arts and Visual Arts, was set up jointly by the Ministry of Education and AQU Catalunya, in accordance with the transparency required of higher education institutions and faculties and in compliance with the standards (ESG) in the European Higher Education Area, according to which institutions should have policies and associated procedures with a formal status and that are publicly available for the internal assurance of the quality and standards of their programmes and awards.
