AQU Catalunya cooperates in the ASEAN QA project through ENQA. 35 universities from nine different countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Phillippines, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, East Timor) have been selected via a competitive process to develop QA projects with external advice and guidance. The projects range from setting up an internal QA system to designing internal QA mechanisms for programme curricula.

At the ASEAN-QA High Level Information Visit held in Potsdam, Germany, from 17th-21st November 2014, chancellors and vice-chancellors of these universities took part in an initial training seminar in which the European model of quality assurance was presented.
