AQU Catalunya, together with CEUCAT (the Student Council for Catalan Universities/Consell de l'Estudiantat de les Universitats Catalanes), organised a course for university students on quality assurance that was held on Saturday, 17 November.
The main objective of the course was to provide student reps with the necessary tools and training to participate in internal and external QA procedures in higher education institutions in Catalonia.
The course, which dealt with both theoretical and practical aspects in all of the sessions, provided an overview of the latest developments in quality assurance from both international and local perspectives, together with an in-depth look at the procedures used in programme review and evaluation. It also included the participation, as facilitators, of students with a wide range of experience in QA procedures and positions of representation at international level, as well as QA experts from AQU Catalunya.
The Agency will work to follow up on this experience by promoting new training courses to reinforce relations and cooperation between students and institutions in Catalonia and to extend the culture of quality among the student body.
