International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) Secretariat will be hosted by The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency, AQU Catalunya from October 2013 to December 2015, taking over the Dutch agency NVAO.

AQU Catalunya completed the quality assurance and validation of programmes leading to higher awards in the Performing Arts and Plastic Arts (Music, Dance, Dramatic Arts, Restoration and Preservation of Cultural Heritage, Design and Visual Arts), which come under the responsibility of the Catalan Government's Ministry of Education.

The ANNUAL REPORT 2012, which was endorsed by the AQU Board of Management at the meeting held on 14 June 2013, is divided into six sections that deal with the main strategic areas in which the Agency is active: quality assurance of programmes of study, quality assurance of teaching staff, knowledge generation, internationalisation, strategic management and communication, and internal organisation.
