ORDER EMC/6/2020, 17 January, whereby approval was given to the mandatory electronic processing of all review and assessment, certification and accreditation procedures by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency's Research Assessment Committee [ca] was published today in the Official Journal of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia.

The above-mentioned order establishes the mandatory use of electronic means for all review and assessment, certification and accreditation procedures by the Research Assessment Committee (CAR) for people applying for these assessment and accreditation procedures.

The first call for applications in which purely online processing will come into effect will be the first call for applications in 2020 for the assessment of research by contract teaching and research staff.

This effectively means that from now on all applications for review and assessment, certification and accreditation by the Research Assessment Committee will be processed online through the Generalitat de Catalunya's e-Administration website where applicants must register for on-line applications (Oficina Virtual de Tràmits/OVT).

Identification and authentication can be carried out using any of the e-signature systems permitted under Order GRI/233/2015, which includes the IdCAT Mòbil.
