AQU's Institutional and Programme Review Committee (CAIP) today approved a protocol for action for the accreditation of recognised degree programmes in the exceptional circumstances resulting from the effects of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus

AQU Catalunya's Institutional and Programme Review Committee (CAIP) today approved an exceptional circumstances protocol for action for the accreditation of recognised degree programmes. The protocol, the application of which is until further notice, allows for focus groups in accreditation-related site visits, which up until now have been face-to-face, to be held online provided that the faculty or school has successfully undergone a prior accreditation procedure including a site visit to the institution's facilities with face-to-face discussion groups with the stakeholders.

If the facilities have not previously received a site visit, the best possible solution for obtaining a review report shall be agreed with the institution prior to the deadline for the accreditation of the corresponding programmes.

If the external review panel identifies any issues requiring an in-person site visit, the data and schedule for this site visit shall be agreed with the institution.
