A quarterly publication of AQU Catalunya
Jaume Valls Pasola, director of AQU Catalunya
Over the last few years we at the Agency have consolidated our ability to adapt to major legislative changes. Without a doubt, these learning experiences will help us to keep moving forward and to keep working in order to help improve the quality of the Catalan Higher Education System, as we have always done.
Promoting institutional accreditation will bring the twin benefits of simplifying processes for universities and providing clarity for society.
The AQU Catalunya study analysing inequalities in the employment outcomes of graduates based on their social class provides a dataset that may help actors in the SUC to strengthen the social dimension of our higher education system.
The main aims of this methodology (and which truly reflect its joint nature) are to remove the obstacles to approving joint programmes posed by domestic regulations, and to facilitate an integrated approach in order to ensure quality.
Since it promotes integrated initiatives that lead to a dual/multiple degree or a joint degree via a single report, the European Approach opens up a wide range of extremely attractive opportunities.
