Tenure-track Lecturer and Collaborating Lecturer Commission has set the criteria to assure that the persons who may be contracted as collaborating lecturers will present the characteristics the character of this figure. The Royal Decree 989/2008, 13 June, lays down that, in exceptional circumstances and with a statement of grounds, the universities may recuit non-tenured collaborating teaching staff for specific degree programmes, posts which could be filled by general degree (diplomatura) holders, engineering technicians and archchitectural technicians.

2009 deadlines for tenure-track lecturers and collaborating lecturers assessment are:

• from 2 to 13 February 2009
• from 14 to 25 September 2009
  

 Resolution IUE/3971/2008, 18 December, by which the procedure for the issue of reports prior to shortlisting for the post of tenure-track lecturer for 2009 is published.
 Resolution IUE/3972/2008, 18 December, by which the procedure for the issue of reports prior to shortlisting for the post of collaborating lecturer for 2009 is published.
