The latest meeting of the ISLAH project (Instruments at Support of Labour Market and Higher Education), which is coordinated by Almalaurea, was recently held in Tangier, at which members of AQU Catalunya took part.
Following three years of being in operation, the project was brought to a close with very positive results. In particular, and following the Almalaurea model, in both Morocco and Tunisia:
Members of technical staff were also trained for the observatories (monitoring centres) in each university, and a national observatory was also set to oversee standardisation of monitoring in the universities (according to the "hub and spokes" model).
Throughout the project, it was evident that, in spite of employment statistics that are clearly of concern, the two countries were focused on improvements being made to relations between the universities and the labour market.
