July 2020
AQU has approved an update of the Guide to the monitoring of higher education programmes in the Arts, which was agreed with the Government of Catalonia's Department of Education. AQU Catalunya and the Department of Education have had a cooperation agreement since 2012.
The main new development is that higher education programmes in the Arts which have successfully undergone accreditation will now undergo monitoring every two years, instead of monitoring every year as has been the situation up until now, according to the following standards:
- Programme quality
- The relevance of public information
- Efficacy of the study programme's internal quality assurance system
- The suitability of teaching staff on the study programme
- Efficacy of learning support systems
- Quality of programme learning outcomes
The new guide incorporates the qualitative participation of an inspector in each faculty/school, whose job it is to draw up a feedback report on each degree programme, with the main focus on the strong and weak points in the period under assessment.
The structure of the Guide conforms to The European Standards and Guidelines.
