Almost 25 years ago, on October 29, 1996, the Catalan Government's Executive Council passed Decree 355/1996 creating AQU Catalunya as a consortium between public universities and the Government of Catalonia. It was the first agency established in Spain and one of the first in Europe.
Continue readingEnsuring the quality of international joint qualifications has always been a challenge for quality agencies, given the level of complexity associated with the different legal frameworks, the different approaches to external assessment processes (institutional vs programme) or the difficulties in coordination between quality agencies in recognising the results of these assessment processes.
In 2017, in collaboration with the “la Caixa” Foundation, AQU Catalunya launched the second edition of the Employers project, in order to learn employers' opinion on the training of recent graduates hired in the last three years.

Established more than twenty years ago, the Bologna process is generally known for having brought together 48 countries around common values and goals of improving employability, student and teacher mobility, and that of all staff related to higher education institutions.
